WHAT IS KEY CLUB AND
WHY IS IT
IMPORTANT TO US?
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A KEY CLUBBER?
Key Club is an international, student-led organization providing its members with opportunities to perform service, build character and develop leadership. Your experience as a high school student will be incredibly enhanced by joining Key Club. You will grow as a person and expand your own personal horizons and goals. As an international organization, we all share a common interest of service and leadership, and through this, friendships and a sense of family is built.
WHAT IS DIVISION 12 WEST?
At D12W KEY CLUB, wellbeing is at the forefront of what we’re working together towards. Our programs and activities are designed to be a catalyst that helps community members reach their goals and fulfill their potential. Learn more about the positive impact we have and join us in bringing about positive change one step at a time. To learn more about how we came to be, check out the history of D12W!
HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?
Your experience as a Key Clubber solely depends on how much effort you put into it, but we will be there for you every step of your journey! To become an official member of Key Club International, you have to pay a membership fee of $11.50 that goes back to the California-Nevada-Hawaii District and Key Club International. This money is used to serve you as the district and international officers use them to ensure you have a fantastic year. Contact your club president or club treasurer on how to pay this membership fee, as each club collects and processes dues differently. However, you do not need to pay to attend meetings and services. The payment is solely for the larger events.
OUR LARGEST ANNUAL KEY CLUB EVENTS
Spring Rally North (SRN), May 1, 2020
Spring Rally North will be held in Northern California at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. Thousands of members gather at the theme park in May. At Fall Rally North, LTGs and Executive officers are "auctioned" off to Divisions; the winning Division is able to then spend a designated period of time with the "purchased" officer and win the spirit stick! Auction funds and a portion of the ticket sales for both events go towards the Pediatric Trauma Program.
District Convention (DCON), April 2020
Still experiencing post-RTC depression? Miss all the fellow Key Clubbers that you miss from past FRNs? Reunite with them and thousands of others from all over California, Nevada, and Hawaii! Watch your newly elected Lieutenant Governor be installed for the next term and participate in workshops throughout your stay.

Region Training Conference (RTC), September 19-20, 2020
Because of the current situation, RTC will be held entirely online this year on Zoom. The link to the conference will be sent out soon once you sign up for it! A Region Training Conference is put on every year by the current Lt. Governor(s) in your Region or combined Regions. At the Region Training Conference, you will meet Key Club members from other clubs in your Region. There will be informative workshops on various topics that will help you and the other members of your club. There will be Icebreakers so you can get to know members of the other clubs in the Region. You will leave this conference knowing so much more about Key Club and how to be a more effective officer, leader and member!
