AUGUST 2020

CLUB MEMBER: DEVYN CHUBON, BRANHAM

Devyn is constantly asking me if there are any new events happening in Key Club, giving her very best for each activity. This includes attending KCTC, DCMs, and participating in making cards for senior homes. Branham is so lucky to have such a dedicated member of our club!

CLUB OFFICER: SEAN SAKAE OF BRANHAM, CATHERINE TAN OF BISV , GARRET YOE OF LOS GATOS

Sean is a really organized and amazing president of Branham Key Club. He never fails to impress us each time he thinks of a new service project to start. Through holding consistent meetings and giving proper directions, Sean is able to guide his board through an easy path to complete the next order of business. Thank you Sean for everything you do!

CLUB: BRANHAM

Branham has been holding consistent ongoing virtual service events to allow members and officers to receive hours while in quarantine. They're also planning out how future club meetings will work as well as finding fun ice breakers to get to know the newcomers to their club.

JANUARY 2020

CLUB MEMBER: SHREYA JOHAR, BRANHAM

Despite this year just being  an incoming student at  Branham, Shreya has been really involved in Key Club. She is very passionate about serving the community a long with demonstrating leadership everyday through kindness. She also remains humble in any situation and is a great volunteer at every service event.

CLUB OFFICER: ISABELLE CHIU, BISV

Isabelle is BISV’s amazing and kind Key Club president who had done an admirable job at maintaining our club's activities. She has been able to organize many service events for us to attend and has done her best to ensure we all our able to attend and have fun. Isabelle is also very caring towards our feelings by constantly trying to make us cheerful as well as bringing in snacks and treats for us. Isabelle is without a doubt that best Key Club officer out there!!!

DECEMBER 2019

CLUB MEMBER: TIMOTHY ZIMINE, WESTMONT

Timothy is a valued Key Clubber. He has great vibes and attends the vast majority of service events. He is dedicated, mature, and is passionate about his participation in Key Club. He is a very active and motivated member always up for volunteering!

CLUB OFFICER: COLLEEN HOANG, DEL MAR

Colleen is one of force to be reckoned with at Del Mar! Her creative nature spouts endless volunteer ideas and projects (sometimes we have a hard time keeping track of them)! She uses her connections in ASB and elsewhere in order to help us with the logistical side of setting up events. She's a cheerleader for everyone in Del Mar's Key Club and although her voice might not be as loud, her actions are mighty and speak for themselves!

CLUB: BRANHAM

Although a large number of members signed up at their club fair, Branham has taken it a step further to ensure that quality arised from quantity. From new projects and events to overall retention in meeting attendance, it is clear that the officers put in effort that is above and beyond. <3

NOVEMBER 2019

CLUB MEMBER:  DARA ALTAFI, LEIGH

Dara is a new member. He comes to every meeting and service event excited and happy to be a part of Key Club. He always has a smile on his face and is always so upbeat. He is always asking great questions and is on top of his hours.

CLUB OFFICER: LANA MAHBOUBA, LEIGH

As a spirit coordinator for D12W and President for Leigh high school, Lana puts in so much hard work and spirit into D12W and her home club. Even after talking to her for only an hour, a small amount of time to get to know someone, I already know that she is going to do so many great things in her last 2 years in Key Club. Talking about our positions, I have learned so much more about how to become better at my job, and I am so grateful to have met such an amazing Key Clubber!

CLUB: PROSPECT

Lately, I have noticed Prospect become more active by posting club and division events on social media. I appreciate the efforts of certain individuals on the board to make it out to events, even when the travel is further than it is for other schools. With continued perseverance, I see Prospect Key Club doing big things in the future!

OCTOBER 2019

CLUB MEMBER:  STARSUN HOWE, WESTMONT

Starsun joined our Key Club family in the middle of summer. I was dropped off at our third or fourth summer concert series and his height and red hair immediately stood out. At that event, one of our board members who already knew him convinced him to join Key Club, and I am really glad he did. Ever since he has been one of the most dedicated Key Clubbers I know. I'm trying to think of the last event that he missed as a Key Clubber and I honestly can't from the top of my head. He also did a little bit of recruiting for us, even though he is a COMPLETELY NEW MEMBER! He convinced 2 of his friends to join Key Club and even did our Key Club cheer during our presentation at the Life Crew Tour de Westmont. I'm sorry that this sounds a little bit cheesy but it is 100% true. I am very proud to have met Starsun Howe. He is a great guy with a great attitude towards everything he does.

CLUB OFFICER: RIANA CHERIE DE VEAS, WILCOX

I am nominating Riana because she is an amazing influence on our school. She is always there for us, and a great friend for all who need one. She works incredibly hard as an officer for Wilcox and it’s really inspiring. Riana is an amazing person and deserves to be Officer of the Month.

CLUB: LOS GATOS

Los Gatos, despite having a club rush much later in the year than other schools, has used the extra downtime to prepare for new members. From having a very successful boba fundraiser to pre-purchasing 40 shirts for new members, LG will definitely benefit once they start bringing in new members.

2

SEPTEMBER 2019

CLUB MEMBER: VINCENT NGHEIM, WESTMONT
Through his spirit and hard work, Vincent has shown his dedication to Key Club and its core values. He has worked for 14 hours straight setting up and running our summer concert series not once but twice, helping raise thousands of dollars for the education of our youth. His easygoing nature and tendency to work at his best toward any goal, large or small, has made our events run smoothly; and the best part is that while he knows how much work he does, he never asks, directly or indirectly, for any sort of recognition.

CLUB OFFICER: JOSHUA PEREZ, BRANHAM
Even though he is one of the youngest officers on the board, it has not stopped him from becoming extremely passionate and dedicated to Key Club at the start of his Key Club journey. Since I get the chance of working closely with him on the board, I am able to see the efforts he makes to better the club. He gives it his all to find events for the club to attend, and it’s evident when the spreadsheet is filled with events for the following weeks. Josh is trying hard to attend more service events and represent Branham Key Club positively, and he makes it clear that Key Club is a passion of his through his work on the board for the club. This month, Josh has made the effort to keep service on the member’s mind through publicizing on social media, and he has brought good ideas to the table to boost the club when school returns. Josh has shown significant growth since the start of the term and you’ll never see him down when he talks about Key Club. Good job, Josh!

CLUB: WESTMONT
Through the various Summer Concert Series, Westmont has developed a close bond that has been forged with not only the officers but also the members. Their family-like manner boosts their willingness to serve and is something that not all clubs are lucky enough to have.

AUGUST 2019

Even though she is not an officer, she puts all of her effort
into the club. She always makes herself available to help everyone and is very spirited.

Lydia is very hardworking and is great at being a secretary. She has great work ethics and is very efficient. She is easy to communicate with and is always bringing in new ideas. She is very reliable and dedicated to Key Club.

CLUB: HARKER
Harker’s board appears very determined to have a successful term and all the officers have fresh ideas for their club. LTG Brittany look forward to their
accomplishments as the school year begin!
